Susan Rubino, MD

susan-rubinoDr. Susan Rubino is a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician since 1997.  She graduated from Rutgers Medical School in 1994 and completed her internal medicine residency at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City.   After serving as Chief Resident at Mount Sinai, she  joined the Faculty of the Department of Medicine at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, NJ.  During this time, she served in various leadership and academic roles teaching and providing patient care. Dr. Rubino trained at McMaster’s University for evidence- based medicine and literature review and at the Bayer Institute for patient- physician communication. As faculty of the Department of Medicine,  Dr. Rubino served on the Bioethics committee and worked to incorporate integrative and holistic medicine practices at Saint Barnabas.

In 2005, Dr. Rubino transitioned to private practice with Primary Care Physican Group.  She is skilled and experienced in providing comprehensive medical care and is compassionate and attentive to each individual’s needs. She maintains a welcoming and comfortable environment where patients can freely communicate their concerns.  Dr. Rubino focuses on patient education in order to enable each patient to fully participate in achieving optimal health.

Dr. Rubino is very active in her community and serves on several foundations and boards.

 


Patricia A. Shorrock, APN

Nurse Practitioner

patriciaPatricia Shorrock is a certified adult nurse practitioner with 18 years of experience in internal medicine. She has provided comprehensive medical care to generations of patients.  Patricia earned a BSN in nursing in 1983 from Rutgers University. She worked as a staff nurse, and then as a nurse manager, at Saint Barnabas Medical Center in Livingston, N.J. for many years prior to pursuing a master’s degree in nursing. She completed her masters in advanced practice nursing from Seton Hall University in 1997.

Patricia has a strong focus on preventative medicine and health education. She is committed to working closely with patients and their families to give them the knowledge and resources they need to achieve optimal health and well-being.
